Hi,
I've bought a switch with a compatible serial number and bought SX PRO.
I've used SX PRO and played some XCI games.
After that i did a NAND backup with SX Menu.

But today i think i did a mistake by doing the backup after using the SX PRO.
Does the SX PRO modify the nand by ONLY launching a custom firmware and play some XCI games ?

I've never used NFS file, or never use Auto-RCM.
I was on 6.1 but now i'm on 6.2 by accident, (so i'm waiting for the new SX update)
So i would like to know if, my NAND is modified or not :/ because i would like a solution to play online with my original NAND, and play offline (with XCI games) with the Custom Firmware.... but if i did modify my NAND before backup it.... i'm f*'d up

Thank you!

Hello Game_Over and thanks for you fast answer!

So you mean, it doesn't matter if i did the NAND Backup after booting on SX OS (+ played some XCI games?).

So actually, with the 6.2.0 update, i can just boot on SX PRO and do a new NAND Backup now?

Why i ask this, is, i wanna play with xci games on the CFW (With plane mode) and the original games on the OFW (with internet).
But to make that safer, the best way is to use the Emunand? right?

If yes, i would like to know if Nintendo will ban me because i was online on the OFW, but with a "modified NAND" <---- but i wanna know if my Nand was modified on 6.1.0 if i only played XCI games and never used Auto RCM and never use any other payloads

Thank you!

alright thanks for the precisions, so it's too late for me to have an "online safe backup" :/

Do i have to do a nand backup after every firmware upgrade? for example upgrade from 3.0.2 to 6.1.0 an making a nand backup? After that is later a downgrade to 3.0.2 possible?

Is it better to do the nand backup with SX OS Screen or hekate? Or does it no matter?

Hello
I would like to use this post also to ask regard the nand backup
I never made any nand backups, and i have ofw 6.1 \ cfw 6.1 \ sx os pro 2.3 \ Exfat 128gb
I guess it is good time to do so, but i did wanted to ask,

I got this from other post:

Hi! thanks for the prompt reply. Let's see if I get this correct.
Step 1. Grab the latest boot.dat from the website.
Step 2. Reboot RCM with dongle + jig + volume up + power button.
Step 3. In the three menu, go straight to OPTIONS.
Step 4. Create NAND backup. (what if I already have a full backup from before? as in the first time I ran the CFW a few weeks ago?)
Step 5. Create EMUNAND on SD card. (even if there are already files and games loaded)
Is this correct? My question would be step 4 and 5.
Tank you for your assistance again!
Step 5.
And

You got this.
If you left your old nand backup on your SD card, copy it off.
Then after you make your new nand backup, copy it off of your SD card. It is a very bad idea to leave your only backup on the SD card. What would you do if your sd card corrupted?
Keep 3 copies of any data that is important to you, and nand dumps should fit in this category.
For step 5, yep. Create the emunand, then if you want to keep all of your information, you will need to copy the contents of your Nintendo folder to your newly created Emutendo folder. Copying may take a while depending on your situation.
That should do it for you.
Edited - found my answers.

Thanks
erez

It is recommended to do a NANd backup each time you upgrade. It's easier for me to do it with SX OS, haven't tried the other.
