Does v1.6 xboxes have 3.3v standby power anywhere?

I noticed the 1.6 xboxes don't have the 3.3 volt standby power wire, which is normally purple or brown, coming from the PSU. I was wondering if there is an alternative, because I want to do the wireless doorbell on/off mod, but the 3.3v STB power is required. Thanks.

There is a blue wire that has 3.3v standby, but when I tried to install an IR mod to it, it dropped to around 1.8v and was not enough to power it.

There are a couple orange wires that provide 5v standby so I just hooked one up to my IR mod and it works! I know the PIC that comes with IR mod is designed for 5v (also runs on 3.3v) but wasn't sure about the IR receiver but I thought I would just try.

Maybe your doorbell mod runs on 5v too? If not then just buy a 3.3v regulator.

Well, my IR-MOD works as far as turning xbox on, but will not shut it off.

I took it out and put the same IR-MOD in my green xtreme xbox 1.5, thinking I fried something, and it works 100%.

I guess I'll try a regulator now.

LPC rebuild with Xecuter board, alt 5v.

Where the heck is 3.3v??? 5v Led lights but 3.3v led does not light. Checked pins 9 and 15. Neither of them has 3.3v *with X3 installed.

Unit boots to MS dashboard but "X" switch board does not light. (Of course not since the board has no 3.3v)

Disconnected D0 plug results the same. Disconnected Eject plug results the same. Tried different bank select board, results the same.

What do I have to change, fix, modify to get a working X3? I would pull everything back off and restart the install if I thought it would help.

Do I need to setup a step down from the 5v line direct to the X3. Should the X3 then be isolated from pins 9 & 15 from the XBox MB. Willing to do what it takes but what is it?

Added: The help I needed was, "Check continuity between pins 9 - 15 and one side of capacitor C7D2". What I used was the pre LPC rebuild picture to see that pin 15 connects to C7D2 which is the 3.3v source for the X3. I guess Team Xecuter is on vacation. Now I can work on Bios. End

Simple question for Live play with flashed Drive, real disc

Hi,
I'm about to flash my 360 dvd drive to play burned game because We play a lot when were drunk and my rockband game disc and my halo 3 disc have been destoyed like 2 times each. I just want to know:

If I still have the real game to play online, so I ALWAYS use the real game disc to play online, can I still mod my dvd drive? I just want to play my backups OFFLINE, not online! I'll still buy games to support the developpers for making such great games, it's just to play my backup games offline. I just want to make sure because I love playing games on Xbox live and I have a lot of real game disc.

If the answer is yes then I'll flash it right away.
Thx and waiting for an answer

there is no guarantee you won't get banned with a flashed drive in ANY case

playing burned games offline vs online doesn't really matter, its all logged on your xbox and reported the next time you log into LIVE

make sure to use abgx360 to make your .isos look like retail discs
