Does X3 support 2 separate 1mb banks?

Please move this if its in the wrong section. I have an X3 w/ LCD. I flashed the chip's 1-4 banks w/ the 1mb X3CL bios and set up to boot XMBC on first boot.. all went well. Now I flashed banks 5-8 w/ the 1mb X3CL bios in hopes that I can load up my current dash, dash2gam, on that bios, but all the setting were the same at 1-4. So basically I want bios' 1-4 to boot up XBMC and bios' 5-8 to boot Dash2GAM.

I want to use the X3CL bios for both 1-4 and 5-8 because of the in-bios LCD features.

Your title is kind of misleading but I understand what you mean. X3 has 2 1mb banks so it supports 2 different bioses but unfortunately it does not save settings separately for each different bios.

Fortunately for you, X3 bios does support quick launch features in that if you boot up your console normally, XBMC will boot. But if you were to hold certain trigger, it will boot into Dash2GAM for you. You need to read the bios manual from one of the people who won the competition recently. I don't remember the exact specifics of it.

Awesome, thanks for the info. In the meantime I just loaded a 256k bios on bank 5 to boot straight to xbmc and kept the 'dash2gam loading' 1mb X3CL bios at banks 1-4. This is one hell of a mod chip and quite easy to install. Thanks team Xecuter!
