Mac Pro: Lite-On flashing using CK3 Lite, Probe v2

Ok so I've been having a difficult time finding posts anywhere in which my specific configuration/Xecuter Bundle is being used so I'm really hoping somebody here can steer me in the right direction.

I have a flashed Lite-On drive currently in my XBOX 360 Elite (120GB) Purchased 01/2010 so I was sure to get the CK3 Lite with the Probe V2 as that would be compatible with my model. I purchased this xbox used so I'm unaware of the firmware version it currently has.

The Ck3 Lite has a Serial connector as opposed to the CK3 Pro which as the USB and I'm curious 1. If I can use a Serial to USB adapter, 2. If I need to get a 9-pin Serial Card and install in an available port in the rear (I have two left)for my Mac Pro (8-Core 3.0ghz, etc).

My second area which I'm needing advice is whether or not to disconnect one of my Super Drives, and power the Lite-On drive (once removed from the xbox360 of course) using a male to female SATA connector, and if this power source/SATA connection can be used in place of getting the recommended card.

I have Bootcamp and Windows Vista/and Windows 7 all installed and running fine so getting the whole thing connected hardware wise is my only area I need to get this going.

I saw many people recommending the Molex power supplies to power the Lite-On (or whichever they had) and obviously if the SATA connection I would like to try (MALE TO FEMALE using the Super Drive Bay in my Mac PRo), would this be at all necessary ?

Apologies for the scattered explanation. I'm very good at following instructions when given them (as in tutorials for the actual software end of this process), but given that my configuration is unique being that I'm using a Mac Pro, I really would love some input. Thank you anybody who can give me a nudge in the right direction, other then google, which I've searched for the last 3 hours.

If you do not have a com port on the back of your computer, you will need to get something like this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815166003
You will need one for the CK3 lite. I'm not sure about the serial to usb adapter, people have had problems flashing through usb so it would probably be your safest bet just getting a com port. You will NEED a Molex connection to power the Ck3 lite. If you have one coming out your macs power supply it would work just fine. As for your sata chipset working is beyond me. Your best bet is a VIA 6421a but I've had luck with stock chipsets. You have a beastly machine, you are a lucky man. ;) Good luck.
