If you done it I suggest a new Power/Eject button.
Team Xecuter Please colour code your Items for wallys like us that think we r to clever for instructions. Im sure it would cause a lot less heartache :) .
Thanks Witse

Mmm.
1.6 & 1.6 B versions should not get this prob as they need the alt 5V connected to this red connector.

Also was not a problem until the release of the x3CE as the original X3 had an alt 5V point that you could not physically connect this lead to.

however it does have printed on it 5V V1.6 only.

Thanks a good post as there seems to be a few out there reporting smoke then front panel switches not working

I followed the tutorial for install diligently and still got it wrong. I feel like a dope but then you'd think it would be physically impossible to connect it to the wrong location....NOT TRUE.

My question is do I need a new power/eject button or a new power/eject button circuit board or both? When I look at Llama.com, I see they sell both and I don't know what to buy.

how hard is the repair of the button? And is there a tutorial?
