Ugh. I do plenty of business on craigslist and I dont need a gun nor have I ever had a problem. I respect your right and your decision, but I think that's a bad one going into a transaction like that with a gun. That's how people get killed. That's also why we have such an F'd up problem with guns in this country. Just refuse to meet anywhere besides a public place. If you get robbed in broad daylight in public then you have sh*t luck. Worst case you're out $50 and some lowlife has a date with Karma, but it's certainly no reason to shoot someone.

While I agree with you, and you probably will not get shot going into a transaction on craigslist, I also used to live in southern california, and I remember quite a few occasions when guns came out in public places. I lived in an apartment complex that had 3 seperate gun related murders happen in a year. So at this point in my life not much surprises me, and it also made me not want to deal with new people. People will surprise you.

Side note when I worked at Bestbuy they used to have me check the 360s for returns.
Some jobs I could see there was tampering, but they did a good job so I'd let it go.
This one time the serial sticker by the usb ports didnt match the back, and you could clearly see where it was peeled back and there was hair under it.
Dust and cobwebs in the usb section. Mind you this is a next day return. Supervisor asked am I sure? I pop the plastic tabs and the thing fell apart. Nothing was screwed down, dvd drive enclosure as well.
I took the opportunity to take the ribbon cable on the dvd drive since I bent and damaged my friends.
Of course in the end they got a new one because they just kept complaining.
But yea, check them stickers. But even then, look closely because 2 minutes a hair dryer and a razor will make that sticker check meaningless.
