Ok. i got the x3 bios 2914......and when i extract it (cuz it is in a .rar format) it shows me alot of things.....like x3 skins, changelog.txt, readme.txt,scriptlanguage_d, x3 2914 v16plus, x3 2814.bin, x3_script.ini,and x3skins.txt.........so which ones do i choose to put in a new folder named bios.bin that also has a dummy file in it, so i can use qixx to put it in .iso format....so i can burn it to my disc....right?

Depending on the version of your XBOX, you only need one file in the bios directory.
X3 2914.bin for versions 1.0-1.5
X3 2914 v16Plus.bin for versions 1.6-1.6b
The text files are for you to READ, not flash to your chip.
The X3skins directory goes in your E:\ drive.
Once you get the chip flashed and a Dashboard on there, then take care of the skins directory.

depends on what xbox version you have. if you have xbox 1.0-1.5 then use x3 2914.bin. If have 1.6 or 1.6b, use x3 2914.bin. Make sure to change bios names to bios.bin. DO NOT put the ini file anywhere since it has scripts that may format your drive.
Then when do i use qixx..........and do i do it to the dummy file or not....or yeah i am confused on that part....i do have qixx

The folder should contain a bios.bin (the x3 bios that you have renamed to bios.bin) and a dummy.bin files. Next run Qwix 1.01. Chose to create iso. Next click on source as local folder and direct it to your bios.bin folder. Then click on create iso and direct it to a folder of your choice. Now open up nero and burn.

Thats what I'm talking about, once you have the bios ftp or the network and to the XBOX, boot your XBOX go into the bios and flash the main ROM with the *.bin file that you just ftp over. You don't actually have to rename the file to bios.bin, as a matter of fact my is name x3_3029.bin and it worked just fine...Monker said:
