downgrade emunand

So I did something stupid, I've been keeping my switch on 6.0.0 and even kept my original sd card untouched since by the time I got sxpro it already had emunand.
I updated the emunand to the latest firmware with choidujournx to keep up with the updates for smash and other games.
A couple minutes ago without caring to search beforehand I updated emunand to 7.0.0, and now as expected it doesn't boot.

What are my options? do I need to make a new emunand from scratch? can I keep or move the installed games and saves to the new one? can I downgrade the current one? Is it worth waiting for 7.0.0 support?

If you have a backup of you emunand you can just use that. If not I believe you would have to create a new emunand, since you cannot boot 7.0 with CFW to run Choi. Though I believe there is a version of Choi that you can run from your PC. I have never used it so I am not sure how it works.

It interacts with the nand directly, using memloader/uboot to allow the computer to see the nand like a flashdrive, such as when you dump a corona 4g. That in combination with the bis keys will allow the pc app to change the nand partitions. Unfortunatly, I dont know if it would work with an emunand, as that is basically a partition within a file.... Actually, if you could recover the emunand file, then maybe you could, but that would take way longer to do than to erase the emunand. The only way I would see it being worth it is if you wanted your gamesaves. I would suggest using a tool like binwalk on the emunand file to see if I could seperate out the partitions, then see if I could decrypt them with the bis keys. If you can do that, then it should be fairly easy, to dump the data partition, and inject it into a new emunand.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll just redo the steps. I'll lose a few save files but the backup is recent enough.

You can extract save files from 7.0.1 emunand (even you cannot boot it up)
