Hey guys
Okay I'm downloading the update for XBMC from #xbins, then I got mirrored to another site, and it says xbmc-2005-03-08.rar

Now, is this correct? I thought the latest was a few days ago? I think I read somewhere that they update some stuff nightly??

Am I getting the right file?

just by looking at the date it appears to be the latest since it is still the 7th here where I am at.

The last announcement was 3-4-2005.
But as a rule of thumb just get the latest version available.

i sorta disagree, as i noticed certain versions tend not to work as good as other's... mainly speaking when it comes to playing back XviD movies... like i noticed a little while ago that a version that was released in feb 2005 when fast forwarding the movie everything was fine until u hit 8x then it got all messed up like it was fast forwarding but u could not really see how far it was fast forwarding in the movie where as the versions that work like normall u can see it fast forward perfectly fine @ 8x.

my advise is to more or less stick with the official CVS builds that are released every few months or so... as they are probably all around the best/most stable etc.

but then again... trying the newest XBMC's cant hurt ;)

just thought i would comment on this ;)
