LITEON DG-16D2S Drive Closes by Itself after being Ejected

My Liteon 02510C drive running LT 3.0 in my phat console has recently started to close itself after ejecting. It seems like a similar issue to the Liteon 0225 thread here, where the console seems to think that the tray is stuck.

I can't figure out why it has done this, as it has started to occur randomly, after the Xbox had not been opened up for a while. It has worked perfectly fine before this.

I have tried flashing back to stock and then the LT firmware as suggested in similar threads, though this has not made a difference.

I have included a video of the problem below. This problem started occuring before I installed the W*sabi 360 seen in the video, so it was was not caused by said W*sabi.

Edit: Also, the drive has only ever been opened for a key extraction with the Probe 3, so it seems unlikely that any internal cables have become disconnected.

Any ideas would be appreciated :)

This occurs becuse its not quite reaching the "open" switch at the end of the drive tray, if when you open it just gently pull it to see if the center lights stop flashing, i bet it will.
Any how if that works the you will need to strip the drive down and give it a good clean.

check the two limit switches under the tray, probably one is not making good contact

Pulling it doesn't seem to help, though when I get time, I'll open the drive to check if anything is amiss.

I have the same exact problem that I am currently trying to fix for a friend. I have the 83850c revision model of the 16D2S.

I have swapped magnets with anther drive, used a different top cover, changed sata and power cables, swapped the DVD drive rubber bands with 2-3 other new ones, cleaned it all out from dust (most of it.)

The only other option I have not done from what other people telling me is to *clean it all out very well. So I will clean it down to the bone and see what happens unless anybody else here can give me anymore tips without having to pay for anything, I'm doing this free for a friend.
