Ok I have an ms25 drive with 5.2c firmware. The VIAVT6421A pci card with the 5.40 drivers. An NEC burner at newegg. I am using memorex dvd+R DL media. I burned the 0800 iso onto one of my dl discs using imgBurn at 2.4x, then while my computer was off and my 360 was hooked up to my pci sata card, I put the 0800 disc in and waited about 30 seconds. I then took out the 0800 disk and turned my computer on and booted into windows while my 360 was still on. My 360 drive does not show up under "My Computer", the Device Manager, The system info, or anything else. As of now I have no idea whats wrong except for maybe a bad burner or media. I would greatly appreciate help from you guys because I have been trying to get this to work for a week now.

Thanks alot!

Do you have the most current drivers installed for your vt6421L? You can get v5.40 from viaarena.com.

Yeah thanks, I'd recommend the hot swap method if you don't feel like paying for a kreon drive because you don't have to take your xbox apart every time you want to backup a game. For me it is easier to just put in an old dvd-rom drive just for the dump.
