Drive Isn't Recognized by Xbox Backup Creator

I have a MS28 with 52a and my drive is Recognized by windows but not Xbox Backup Creator and i have have a VIA VT6421 Can any one help me :(

Are you using the most current XBC? Have you tried schtrom360, another backup program for 360 games? I think this has resolved the issue for some. You could also try updaing the drivers for your vt6421, as v5.40 or v5.30c should be the most current.

Many people were having this problem and an older customer of mine searched out the issue and found out the fix:

Not seeing your TS-H943A: Turn off the "FW Branding Check" on the options tab unless you need it (A hitachi branded as samsung or opposite). For those using a VIA6421 card, you should try using the version 5.2 of the Via drivers (here)
Thanks to sosotit for the fix and his excellent tutorial, I'd recommend giving it a read.

And to further quote Redline99, the creator and main coder of XBC (he should know, it's his program)

General note:
