You most probably damaged either the MT chip it self or some smaller components. What was the purpose for removing the epoxy in anyhow?

Also I hope you got your dummy.bin before attempting that trick.

i will post pic now, so did this happened before?
Oh yes, plenty of people have destroyed electronic components with a heatgun. You're not the first and won't be the last.

I mean people do the unlock with a bloody soldering iron they get from 150 to 400 c
And most production lines work at 320 to 380 c

Most heat guns only go 500 so unless you have gone mad ( it doesn't look like you have)

People have brought me birds all blistered and burnt but I still managed to transplant the ic successful

Lead free solder melts at 217 degrees.

Most BGA packages collapse once over 250 degrees.

I can't imagine QFPs being much different. 380 degrees? You have to be kidding.

Let's do the math.

It was working before he heatgunned it and now it's not.

Let's eliminate alien abduction too.

You might of bent one of the leads on chip or blew off one or a few of the surfaces mount parts on the board make sure all parts are on board

so to make sure this will not happen again can some one please tell me what is the perfect temp the heat gun should be and the min distance between the gun and the chip .
by the way is there away to check that chip is alive or dead u know with a digital multimeter or something?

Can you take a good quality image of the chip from an aerial view? It's possible that what 1almasmith is saying is the case.
I dont have a camera that good but u now what i noticed that on one side some pins r not straight! i will try to adjust them with something.
maybe when it got hot i should waited a little before trying to removed the epoxy straight a way with a screw deiver.
i will check today and let u know guys.
