I had Flashbios errors regarding the new HD I put in until I ran SLayers and formatted the drive, then I was able to use Flashbios no problem. I'm assuming that you have just installed your chip and thrown a new HD in.

The "my xbox requires service please call Xbox Customer support" is because that fresh Hd is not formatted so you will not be able to boot to the MS dash because that drive isnt operational yet.

If your situaion is different add a little more detail about what you have done exactly to get better help.

How about this, put the M$ HD back in, get your Bios running, THEN change your HD.

Unless you don't want your saved games anymore you will need to be able to FTP into the old one while it is still IN THE BOX and pull off your saved data. At that point feel free to have Slayers setup the new drive so that you can put your saved games back on.

This does not mean that the HDD is not formatted. There is most likely an Error code 5 associated with the message. It means the HDD is not locked

Correct, and the best action to take right now is still as stated above.

Since this is a Bios forum we should clear up the confusion on the Bios first, and the easiest way to do that is going to be to use the stock HD.
