LITEON 74850 drive not reading discs after flash

i flashed with ck3 kit & sata cable, flash verified etc... and then my drive wont read any discs... i heard keeping the laser ribbon in could damage the laser so i bought a new laser installed and flashed without the laser ribbon & still same problem... can anyone help me please?

anyone help me? the same thing also happened when i flashed a slim with a new pcb.. it doesn't read discs.. could it be the firmware packs?

yes i did remove the solder blob the laser shows up a red light so it is connected properly

What is the pot read on the laser? May need to be tweaked a little. Have you already flashed back to stock and tested? Assuming the laser is not faulty and you have tested with stock and custom firmware. Could come down to data ribbon or dvd/sata cables.

I would also suggest you remove the top cover from the dvd drive and eject/close the tray to see if the spindle is working. It should give a good spin once the tray is closed...

It's not a firmware or TX product issue.
Check if the drive was assembled correctly.
If nothing helped, contact service to repair it.

already flashed stock no difference.

pot has been tweaked a bit but its a new laser & originals should work fine without tweak.. also don't know much about pot tweaking too lol

everything is spinning fine & laser red light is showing.. could be a bad laser or the ribbon looks abit worn so i ordered a ribbon hopefully that will sort the issue.

i got the same problem with the same drive model and brandnew laser , tried everything just like yours including pot tweaking and wont read org. or back up.

with old laser will read org but no backup

one thing left to try is ribon cable and sata.
if it works ill let it know

Yep last thing for me to try is a new ribbon so ill keep this thread updated too.. This is just annoying i flash a lot xboxs and i run into this -_-

after what it started to do that?
did you flashed it? did you replaced PCB maybe? done any mod on drive... if flashed with wich firmware etc.
sometimes new lasers are faulty... pot it near to 3.70 no more then 4.10
if it does give you reading and show "Play Game" firmware is ok and is all about your laser. sometimes laser ribbons are faulty... rarely but they are. get new ribbon for laser. check if you are flashing correct dvd key to it. and get new laser.

please write how and what you did on it.
