ok so i got an xbox with a benq drive and a spare hitachi. my benq drive no longer works. the hitachi does. Can i rgh my xbox then somehow pair my hitachi to work with it? i cant flash the drive as i dont own a ck3 atm. this all would have to be done through xbox.

You basically need to SPOOF the hitachi with your dumped BENQ firmware... Unfortunately theres no other way to do that without some form of dumping and flashing a drive to get yours keys etc. heres a nice guide of how to SPOOF a drive if you need to http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50182

That's all the information you need. You MUST replace like-for-like.

It's irrelevent, unfortunately. Even if you're on an older dashboard, the moment you try to update past 12625 you'll get an error.There we go
