I have a corona and would like to install a dual nand setup. Is the Xecuter Demon still the best solution? what are the requirements to install this? Thanks in advance for any info..

i cant say if its the best solution, but probably. Requirements? A compatible motherboard, for corona every 16mb nand board works. Its also not recomended for noobs to install demons, it should only be installed by profesionals.

Part of the requirements are to be a pro installer and have a good knowledge of console modding. These are more important than the actual console type.

So it looks like Ive got a a V3/V5 board. as far as Noob.. Xboxes sure. surface mount soldering, troubleshooting, electronic repair and chip flashing, not the first rodeo. Thanks for all your answers so far. from what I see now, I'm going to need a post fix adapter and a NAND R/W kit in addition to the Xecuter Demon. Any suggestions on either the NAND-X or the JR?

Either will do. There's more functionality in a J-RPv2 (such as RATER/POST monitor with a compatible chip and Sonus programming), but for the purposes of R/W they do the same thing.

Good luck!

Could you elaborate more on the RATER/POST functions and Sonus.
You will only use RATER/POST monitor if you install a CR3 Pro in your console.

The POST monitor lets you look at the boot process which makes it much easier to tweak your install because you can see exactly what is happening.

The Xecuter Sonus360 is a device which lets you change the power on/eject/glitch sounds on your console.

Corona V5+ (XBOX 360 E) consoles have the sound chip missing I think.

You can replace this chip and install a speaker and a slim Sonus or you can install a phat Sonus (thanks to XDK).

If you don't care for RATER/POST monitor and you don't want to install a Sonus, all you need is a Slim Proto V2 (which took the CR3 Pro's place), a POST Fix adapter and the DemoN (make sure your console has a 16MB NAND and not 4GB - read the Corona identification thread for more information).

never mind on the sonus, I see now that it is an audio add on for start-up sounds. still interested knowing more about the Post monitor / Rater. Is it just as it sounds? monitors power on self test, logs it and rates it?

Rater/POST monitering IS just that. It first moniters the POST output, such as where your having the most fails, and it logs how many successful boots. So if you have 10/10 instant boots, its a 100% success rate. It's a great tool, but is going to start being phased out, because the Slim Proto has instant boots with minimal tuning.

That is exactly what RATER does.

It is a great feature, but it isn't available with the Slim Proto (if you follow the tuning guide, it shouldn't take very long to find the optimum glitch times for your console).

OK, I was trying to figure out why I was looking at corona info, Last night when I posted, I mis-spoke (overtired). I actually have a trinity. and it has the ST TSOP flash. How much of what we have just discussed is still useful to me? Because I just want to mod this thing to the max and not open it up again, I'm probably going to do the sonus and the demon. What else would I need to be able to NAND dump, flash, whatever from outside the box.

Sorry again for the confusion, was way too tired to be figuring this out last night. Thanks again for your quick answers and patience..

You can use the same hardware as I mentioned above, but you should also get the JRP if you get the Sonus.

You won't need a POST Fix adapter for a Trinity board though.

OK, now one last question.. I think.. What is the best place to buy all these things in one shot? seems like the list of authorized sellers have spotty inventory if any listed at all... Is the seller list out of date? I'd like to stick to US based sellers for shipping speed and cost reasons. any suggestions?

send them an email. I think you need to wait a few days before they let you see everything. Not sure why.
