The only way to find alot of specific information is to search the forums. I searched around the forums and i did not find too much, but though this might be a helpful forum topic..
These may be obvious to some but this may help others as they are not obviously mentioned in the manual. Please feel free to add more
1. Power/Eject Switch: If you do not connect the power /eject switch on the X3 the modchip simply boots enabled always. - this is very handy to know especially when you give your xbox to a colour blind dumb ass.
(Same goes with the bios switch connection - It does not need to be connected however it is easier to have it connected when first setting up your x3 with the x3 bios)
2. Turn off X3 Config Live: To turn off the x3 bios simply select: X3 Config Live/ Customise X3 Bios/ Auto start X3 Config Live - set to disabled
Sounds obvious??
3. Starting X3 Config Live: If you have X3 config live disabled you simply press and hold the WHITE button on your controller when your xbox starts to start X3 Config Live.
4. Changing the X3 Start up Logo: You can make your own start up logo to replace the "X3 rocks my box logo'
Just save a 180x50 256 color bitmap to e:\x3logo.bmp
You can get one from http://www.allxboxskins.com/logos/index.php
