I am the subject. Never soldered before. Have everything ready to go so I can pop my X3 into my 1.0.

The only thing I haven't figured out is what kind of tape do you use to tape components to the board. Or will any tape work?

Any help is appreciated.

And another question while i"m typing is that I bought a solder iron the other day and the tip is pretty freaking big. Are there smaller more precise irons available? It came from home depot and is a normal kit iron (about 10 bucks).

/will be spending this evening with the xbox under the iron.

use electrical tape

make sure the soldering iron you have is 15w.

yes u can get smaller tips, i recommend the smallest u can find. also, a tin of tip tinner/cleaner. These two things turned my soldering from big and ugly, to professional looking. and the day after i bought em the box is working.

xbox 360 slim unmoded wont play games off the hard drive

hi all just wanted to see if you can help me figure this one out. my old xbox died yester day so i wen and paid 200 quid for a new slim but wen i install any ov my games original games none ov them boot it throws a green screen and says game cannot be started so i delete the game and it boots off the disk fine but wots the point havin 250 gig hd if i cant install my games on it. any help would be great save me goin back to the shop with it.
