Summary: Mariko, SX CORE 1.3, OFW 10.1.0, CFW 10.1.0, SX OS 3.0.4 beta, Lexar 512Gb FAT32 32K clusters
Hello, I have a 512Gb Lexar SDcard that I was using on my unmodified mariko switch initially. It was formatted by the switch in exFAT and working without any problem.
I installed SC CORE 2 days ago on the same switch. Once installed, I only get the grumpy boot.dat screen with this sd card with SX OS 3.0.4 beta at the root. I therefore repartitionned the card, and formatted it in FAT32, 32k clusters, put the boot.dat at the root with no success.
I have a spare NETAC 8GB card, FAT32, and with this one SX OS boots perfectly on the switch, I can boot on OFW, CFW (license-request.dat is then generated on the card). I duplicated the 8GB partition on my 512GB, leaving a lot of free space on it and tried to boot: I still get the grumpy boot.dat. I was wondering if I had something faulty between the switch & the SD card...
Now, when I start to boot on OFW from the 8GB and quickly swap the SD card to the 512Gb during boot, the SD card is recognised by the switch, it can format it in exFAT without any problem, so it shouldn't be a hardware problem, and it seems to be linked to SX OS only.
I tried to repartition again the 512GB, used GUIFormat to format to FAT32, 32Kb clusters, a 10 hours slow format during the night, and it did not work this morning after putting the boot.dat.
I noticed that the boot sequence to reach Boot.dat screen with the 512Gb is taking one or two seconds longuer than without any SD card, or with the 8GB one without the file at the root.
Any chance for this new SD card to work with SX OS?
