DVD Burners that work.

Hello! I've been looking around the site and I'm about to flash my firmware but before i do that i realized that not every, hell not most dual layer DVD burners work, from what I've seen only the Samsung one works, and some one was mentioning a lite-on DVD burner but i didn't catch the model, could anyone help me out and give me a list of the DVD burners that work with backing up games? And are any of them not discontinued? I looked for the samsung one but they only have it on Ebay and.. to be frank i don't really trust ebay due to past incidents. :( Soo to make it short are there any non-discontinued dvd burners that work like the samsung disconinued ones? Thanks! :) :roll:

I think the samsung ones that you are reffering to are the ones that can be flashed with the kreon firmware. As far as a DvD DL burner. The pioneer 111d is one of the best. But i use a external Lite-on that i got a walmart for 85 bucks, hasnt burned a coaster yet.

The Pioneer 112D is still on stock on newegg and is the same as the 111D, it just has faster maximum write speeds.
