DVD drive issue

So I recently successfully installed my first RGH on a corona v5. All has been going well until I tried to rip a game from a disc. The drive will not recognize the disc and it will always read "open tray". I have not patched the nand with any new KVs but I have changed the KV by placing it onto my HDD1 along side my stealth plugin. I can't tell you if the drive was working before that or not because I hadn't used it.

I've read that repatching my nand with the nofcrt option will not correct this. Any tips or detailed explanations on how to fix this?

Open tray will most likely be laser issue .

Even if the tray was working just fine before the RGH? Could it be that coincidental? If so is there anything to be done?

Make sure u have plugged the drive in properly.
Kv change, patching the nand etc will show up as play dvd or mixed media or play game without pic.

You were right sir. I cracked open the disc drive and cleaned the lens with rubbing alcohol and all is well now. Thanks a ton.

Rubbing alcohol leaves a residue on the lens, and qtips cann scratch it also. :FacePalm: glad it worked for you, but I wouldnt suggest that in the future.
