dvd drive not reading original games

if you are struggling mate - look into PMT method!
there is a tutorial in our downloads section regarding the how - to
you will of course have to do a little googling on how to make your own PMT probe (look for non-cap method)

I bought a prob, but since it is already ixtreme 1.6 i dont need to extract the keys like that since JF has an option to pull the keys from it since it is already ixtreme

Yes i agree - I was suggesting that if you were struggling to use dummy from ixtreme - then the PMT is a simple enough alternative to try!

just in case you were mistaken about the firmware thats on the drive (I have seen people struggling for ages then realise that they had LT not 1.6)

as bh says above make sure its defo ix1.6 as the key cant be retrieved from LT via dummy from ixtreme tab you need to use the PMT or do the MRA hack.

Any Idea about the open tray problem? If I could get that working, I would be ok.

its all about setting half tray correctly mate!
eject the drive, then pull cable out the back of the drive, push tray half way in, plug power cable back in - thats half tray set

That is what was done, about 10 times. Do you know anything about the tray because not I can't get it to open.

the tray status has only 3 positions it can be in - OPEN, CLOSED and somewhere INBETWEEN - so as long as its not OPEN or SHUT then you are good to go (tray position wise)
I am really unsure why you are struggling with it. If you double click on the log window you will open a full log in notepad. try it again start to finish and post up the log! let me know any error windows that appear

best thing to do mate is power on your xbox 360 and hit eject then press eject again and as the drive is closing hold it there..... the xbox will try 3 times to close the drive but keep a hold of it.... then power the xbox back on still holding the dvd tray... keep holding for about 10 seconds... walllaaaaa... then.. dummy for iextreme should work like a dream... failing that make a CK3 with and eject button.. easy to make with a soldering iron pref board and some resistors..
