Hey, 'great' incoming first post here...hope this is the right section!
Any who, I was able to cut the board and use a CK3 v2.x knock-off (bummer - didn't know before the purchase) probe successfully. I managed to extract the key with JungleFlasher, but I'm running through some issues repairing the PCB - typical, of course.
After using the conductive paste and letting it sit for a few hours I had forgot to test for continuity between points. I was greeted with a flashing middle green light on my 360 - upon taking it out I figured out the problem - the 'ground' pad (e.g. the pad that would've taken the resistor, etc. in my knock-off) had literally blown off. It left a crater where the pad should have been, I believe the pad blew because I used too much paste and crossed lines. Is there any hope/suggestions for repair? I'm willing to send the drive out if need be, although my father can take care of any difficult electrical work.
For what it's worth I extracted the key and haven't tried to reflash it yet - I was going to ensure it was completely updated before flashing to 1.9. The drive shouldn't be bricked by any means, I think.

Ground pad is what blew up/shorted out.
Pictures of my board (filled in hole with conductive paste - board no longer seems to want to explode, although it is getting hot. Previously (after the explosion) the board wasn't receiving any power.)

I'm assuming there's a tad too much paste on both repairs. Using a multimeter there's continuity between both repaired pads...which seems odd considering one is 3.3v and the other is ground. I didn't think to test the top pad with another pad on the same line.
summary : cut board, got key, repaired cuts, cuts weren't repaired correctly (?), pad blew off board (literally was a hole where the pad should be), board drive no longer wants to work with my amateur repairing - seems to be getting hot, though.
Thanks in advance, my apologies if I formatted the links wrong or wrote nonsense for 4 paragraphs.
