GENERAL dvd key extraction from slim?

Hi I am after my dvd key from my slim drive, I have searched on here but it usually refers to a jtagged Xbox which I don't want to do, I am thinking ahead to this xode mod when I will need the key, I have Rjtagged before but not messed with dvd keys. YouTube shows using a sata card etc to read it which is fine, but I don't know what drive I have yet till I strip it down? Are all drives ok to retrieve keys? Cheers.

no you can only get the drive key from liteon ds4 drives, if you have a ds5 drive you will have to RGH to get the key from the NAND image

Best to get answers to your questions when u know which drive you have

liteon d4s = key dumpable from drive
liteon d5s = rgh needed
hitachi d500 = rgh needed

You don't need to open the console. You can tell by a combination of the drive tray and the noise the drive makes on start up.
