Hi,
I'm trying to flash my phat drive to LT 3.0 and am stuck. I had flashed it before to LT 1.9 so I have the Dummy Bin.

I first flashed it back to stock and updated to the dashboard. Unfortunately I then fried my 360 extractor pro when I tried to hook it back up to update to 3.0. I bought a CK3i to replace it. I also put the drive back in the XBox to be sure it still works.

In JungleFlasher 1.91 - MTK Flash 32 tab
The drive properties show: PLDS, DG-162S, 0251, a long string of numbers and letters, and then DVD key not found.

Nothing shows in the flash drive properties other than
Status 0xD0. When I try to erase it shows:
Sending Lite-On-Erase request to port 0x0960
..............
Drive returned Status 0xD0
....................
Device Intro failed!
Found 0 Com Ports.

Any ideas on how to get it to 0x72? I tried erasing a bunch of times but can't get it to work.

Also I can't find LTPlus-025v1.9.bin in the firmware folder of the new jungleflasher files that is mentioned in the tutorial http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66301. Is that the one I really need to use or should I let the program decide?(when I did that it showed tha it was going to update to LT1.1).

I tried searching but couldn't find the same problem.

Thanks

YOUR dummy.bin as source, put LTPlus-0251-v3.0 as target.spoof key so, keys match, then flash
liteon erase, write , outro , done

like it says in the tutorial

as long as you have your correct dummy.bin all will be good

don't what you are on about with ltplusv1.9.bin since that is what you already had on there

you need to download LTPlus-0251-v3.0.bin from wherever you get it from

Maybe my drive is now toast?
I tried hooking it up again and all it gives me now is "No Drive Detected".

I've tried sending Intro and Outro and Erase but all it gives me now is Status 0x80. The drive will no longer eject.

Any ideas?

I put a VIA card the PC - it shows it as VT6421. I wasn't sure of the port so I connected a slim drive to it and Jungleflasher can see that drive OK.

I can't see where you would set additional options in JF, not that it really matters.

The tutorial says that if you are using an old dummy bin to use LTPlus-025v1.9.bin, I guess it must just be out of date.

did you try load dummy bin to source and lt3.0 to target should autoload if using latest jungleflasher make sure the 2 keys match then go to liteon erase and follow the on screen messages, try the internal sata port on 6421 card also have you installed the drivers for the via card

I did first open the dummy.bin with open source firmware. Then I used the open target firmware and spooked the key so it shows:

Lite-on, DG-16DS2, 02510C, LT-Plus 3.0 and the Key matches.

The drive is hooked up to the internal SATA port on the VIA card. On the DVDkey32 tab it shows my CK3i as being ready. Yes I installed the drivers for both the VIA and the CK3i.

If the SATA card was no good would it have shown the other slim dvd drive as being connected?

The status now always shows as 0x80.

I tried powering it on and off very fast after the start of the second erase prompt. I also tried powering on and off after the drive returned 0x80.

I think I'll try it on another PC.

yes that would be a good idea try it on another computer, but did you flash the drive with the computer you are using, you wouldnt have this hassle if you had a x360usbpro,all so try rebooting your pc

OK, I went back to other PC and hooked SATA back to motherboard. First I connected the other drive to know that I was using the correct port.

I used erase again and this time I got:
DVD Key copied to target
Target is LT - ID strings not copied to Target
Target rev is LT 02510C, serial info not copied
Sending Lite-On-Erase request to port 0x09E0
..............
Drive returned Status 0x72
Manufacturer ID: 0x0
Device ID: 0x0
Flash Name: Unknown type
Flash Size: n/a
Unknown flash type Write aborted !
Getting Status from port 0x09E0
SPi flash found with Status 0x72
Sending Chip Erase to Port 0x09E0
Writing target buffer to flash
Writing Bank 0: .Lite-On-Erase NOT sent
Getting Status from port 0x09E0
SPi flash found with Status 0x72
Sending Chip Erase to Port 0x09E0
Writing target buffer to flash
Writing Bank 0: .

When I try to write it freezes on Bank 0.

What should I try next?

Thanks. I should have got a x360usbpro and I will now. I tried getting a VIA card instead and that was a mistake.

..............
Drive returned Status 0x72
Manufacturer ID: 0x0
Device ID: 0x0
Flash Name: Unknown type
Flash Size: n/a
Unknown flash type Write aborted !

It still says that it is in vendor mode.

Should still I try using outro and then erasing again?

When first opening target firmware should one answer yes to the question of it autoloading or should one select no and load the LTPlus-0251-v3.0.bin? I just want to know for sure.

OK, It looks like I finally got it to work.
I found the solution to be:
OK. When you get Unknown Type under Flash Chip Properties. Click Outro. Now Click Intro and power cycle. You should get these properties:

Manufacturer ID: 0xC2
Device ID: 0x11
Flash Name: MXIC(MX25L2005)
Flash Size: 262144 bytes.
Serial flash with status 0x72

***Make sure under Flash Chip Properties that "Type" is Serial flash with status 0x72. If it doesn't say this, click Intro again.*** Click Write.

I found this info at ixtreme.net posted by Jaws.

Thank you all for your help and suggestions

Yes it flashed fine.

The only other thing that I did differently was to install a different version of Portio32.inf. I don't know if that had anything to do with it. The version I was using came from the website that I bought the VIA card from. It was version
1.4.0.0 and showed as Portio32 Port I/O Driver in my device manager. The one that worked is shown as Portio32 - XBox 360 Device Driver and is version 0.6.0.0.

I likely used to have that driver the last time I flashed but it was lost when my PC crashed on me.

Thanks again
