DVD-R DL....do these not work? Textbook rave.

FIrst off Textbook, I think you are awesome brother. I saw your tutorial, read pdfs, read forums, read some more and now I have my xbox 360 flashed. I guess I should thank the Xtreme dude too for making things a lot easier.
Only thing is I can't test it out because the only DL media I had was a DVD-R DL and it works sort of. It goes to the title screen of the game and then it says "Media dirty" or something like that. I've read that DVD+R DLs are the best for X360s


Also, I have the drive running at 12x even for backups with the "C" firmware. Now I'm thinking, will I kill the drive sooner than if I had it running at 4x for the backups?

The drive was made to read at those speeds, it shouldn't break and less you move your 360 while playing games/watching films. The games might work if you run them at 4x, what brand is the DVD DL disc that you have?

I suggest veratims they are the best media on the marketbut a little more expensive.
