okay so i installed the X3 and it has been working pretty good. I have only been playing a game off my hd, and have not used the dvd rom since installation. recently, when I go to eject the tray, it does nothing, and when i looked into it further, the bios has all $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for dvd rom information. so I took it a part again and plugged and unplugged and stuff and got it to work for a while and then it stopped responding again. any one else had this happen? (I think its either a 1.0 or 1.1 with the phillips DVD rom).

next, is the ftp transfering. I can send files via ftp just fine but I cannot recieve files more than like 2k or sometimes 25k in size.... and even then it goes very slow. any way of fixing that? (I am using FlashFXP for ftp and when I attempt using Quix it just freezes every time I try to extract a game from the xbox HD....

this is getting a bit wierd and its all over my head in terms of troubleshooting so any help on this would be awesome! Thanks!

firstly you have phillips which is SH!T and make sure you've got the latest version of qwix

and that your computer supports fast speeds (very likely it does unless your using an old pc)

okay the dvd rom is working sparatically now... next thing is the networking. I should be able to transfer files from the xbox via Flash FXP, but it won't send more than 2k, 25k or 522k before halting.... thats whether I use the latest Qwix or not... what can I do? (my computer works fine... AMD64 3200+ etc. etc.
