dvd window

Just wondering I have a 1.0 box and Im wanting to put in a dvd window, I understand how to get that part done but how do you go about seeing through the thompson drive to the disc?
Maybe a dumb question, not sure.lol
If you dremmel* the window in the case thats as far as I get..

Well if you know someone who bought a clear custom case (clear, green, blue, etc..) alot of those kits come with see thru adapters that puts the spinner top across a clear acrylic bar.

Not everyone likes using them cause they look kinda cheap. Or their drive wouldn't let them use it. THAT would be the best way instead of hacking up your drive lid.

That or you could dremel it, but go around the spinner, and grind/sand the hell out of the metal b/c you don't want shivers getting onto any of the pcb controller inside the DVD drive

I used one of the 3rd Party DVD crystal Spindles it didnt work out for me, it fit and all but it was way too loud and made the dvd act weird.
