Ok im really new to all of this... But is there a way to copy dvd movies to the HDD and be able to play them off the HDD? if so let me know.... becasue i cant find anything about it unless im just not reading things right! I am really confused!

Is it a straight copy of the dvd with the menus and everything?

nah, it's the .vob files. You can stack them in xbmc to play as a straght movie but no menu's. For that you gotta get a dvd decrypter or something. never used that myself, but some recomend it.

dvd decrypter does take a full movie and all menu + special features with it. it makes a video_ts folder on ur pc hdd with all the various files on it. (most of the video files happen to be .vob) when you copy all the video_ts files into a dvd video_ts folder and burn you'll get a perfect replica of the original dvd.
