Hi guys I'm back already with another issue. Everything on on my RGH was working fine until I updated my dash from 16537 to 16747. Dashlaunch began to freeze my console. So I downgraded my dash to 16547 and everything booted up and worked fine along with dashlaunch. I went to my system settings and everything was normal as it was on the correct dash. I went back to dashlaunch and it asked for an update because it was on 3.11 and wanted to upgrade to 3.12 so I updated it. It required a reboot and as soon as I booted it back up BAM... that damn red light. The good thing is I know it's the HDD that's causing the problem. I simply took it out and booted up console and everything worked like a charm. But as soon as I plugged it back in, there was the E-71 again. How can I fix my hard drive? I have a transfer cable so can I delete some files to fix it?

You said you know the HDD is causing the problem? It's not going faulty by any chance is it? Mechanical drives do fail eventually. Just a thought. A basic test would be to connect the drive to your PC using the transfer cable and try and copy large amounts of data to and from it. If it freezes then it's a faulty HDD.

Guys again I'm a damn idiot. The reason the HDD wasn't working was because there was something wrong with the "xbdm.xex" file. I had set xbdm.xex as a plugin in Dashlaunch and got the same E-71 error on another HDD. That's where I knew exactly where the problem was coming from. I simply plugged up my HDD to my Laptop via transfer cable and opened up Party Buffalo. I extracted the launch.ini file to my desktop and opened it in notepad. I deleted the path for the xbdm.xex from Dashlaunch and saved it. I injected it back on the root of my HDD and she fired right back up. I hope this helps someone with the same problem!
