SAMSUNG MS25 E66 Error

for some reason i keep getting a e66 error while trying to update to the newest dashboard which i read up on and it says its because the drive is modded with custom firmware which i have no idea if it is or not but i tried getting the key off my samsung ms25 and it keeps failing to put the drive into vendor mode when i click on sammy unlock i tried it with the tray half opened and with the tray closed but it keeps failing in putting the drive into vendor mode i bought this xbox off someone which it red ringed and i successfully reflowed the console any ideas?

Is this the original driver?

I had a few costumers with the same problem. I swap it with een Hitachi driver and the update went fine after that.

The are still playing save online.

yes it is the original drive i belive as it plays retail games i tried a backup copy and it says play dvd which means the drive is not modded but common e66 errors happen because drives are modded i tried to get the key off the drive but the drive keeps failing vendor mode so i cant determine if its spoofed or not
