hi. got a falcon jtag ( someone else did it )that has e71 error. removed hd booted xell and tried to update.

rebuilt nand with latest dash with multi_builder_07, put the nanddump.bin (also tried updflash.bin) and xenon.elf on root of USB stick, booted xell.
The first few times xell complained of transfer errors. Swapped to different USB sticks. Went to a black screen with white text. rawflash started, etc, initialized controllers etc, then

* trying to make sense of uds, lets assume its fat.

And it just sits there. Leave for 5 minutes, unplug power for 30 secs - repeat process.

need some advice. cheers

Try to update it through nand-x or lpt.

as I said in my post I didn't do the jtag and don't have the gear.

This is not the first time this has happened either. Using Dashlaunch and Freedash consistently.

What is causing the corruptions ?

Which version of rawflash are you using?
You should use version 4. Replace the one in multi builder and on your usb drive.

Also make sure no other usb drives are plugged in.

Are those two bad blocks remapped? You can check in 360 Flash Dump Tool.

Do you have a hard drive plugged in? Try removing it.

no hd in. it is an instant e79 error, whereas the e71 error was after Xbox 360 boot logo.

havent checked the errors yet, but the original NAND I got of the jtagr had the same errors if that helps.

There is zero point in you continuing unless you know what wiring you had in place.

My first advice would have been to dump the existing NAND and open it in a utility which will detect what SMC config you have. As it stands now, you're in a state of limbo and can't do anything more without a hardware flasher.

hi assumed that.

one of the tools I used to create the NAND said it was a normal SMC.

Before this happened I flashed the console with the NAND the jtagr sent me, and still had e71 error.

anyway thanks for the help

cheers

Did you check the SMC version in the one supplied?

CMD Freebooter will do this for you and give you a good indication as to what wiring was used.

TBH the person you bought it from should have told you if it used wiring outwith normal configuration (as I would have done).
