Error: E79 Secondary:1033
I was using J-Runner v0.2 Beta (287) to jtag my Falcon xbox. I checked if it was Jtaggable and it is. This is my 3rd time resoldering these wires. I get bad blocks each time i read the nand but based off what I read at other places J-Runner remappes them... not sure what that means but they make it seem like it "fixes" the bad blocks.

What does the console do when the stock nand is written back to it?

Hmmm... stock nand?
i didnt save the first nand that was read.
Or is the original nand something else?

I did try using the retail setting for J-Runner but all the console did was have 3 of the lights light up solid green, no video, no audio, and the center light was flashing.

Looks as if you have over wrote your stock nanddump.bin (header wrong), so now you need to get it to boot xell and get the Cpu key so you can build a nand from what you have, if you don't know how to do this it is time to get someone to check it out for you.

Shouldn't xell boot regardless.

Are you trying to boot it in the cage or out? I'd try and clean up your solder points a little. I see you have sucked up most of the solder on some points. Did you do this for all the NAND points before soldering the wires in? Turn the board over and see if any of the wires are coming through and touching something.

I dont know how that qsb works, but E79 indicates that your wiring is wrong or that your xell have another smc not compatible with your wiring.

Ok well I just retried the J-Runner steps up to turning on the xbox but this time I did it on a wooden table and not on the metal console box but it still didnt work.

Tomorrow I will try unsoldering all the points and cleaning the holes out completely. (if thats what i need to do)

Is there a way to reset the xbox to factory settings if I have already deleted the stock nanddump.bin?

Without the stock dump, you will have to get the Cpu key to build a new nand, if you had it just sitting on the metal case cage there is a chance you have shorted something.

If you are in the Usa I would take a look at it for you, pm me if interested.

The jumper on your JTAG QSB is missing, pretty sure that's the problem. I haven't worked with one of those in awhile so I can't say for sure but I am pretty sure you need one there regardless of what setting you use.

Bridge the middle pin and the pin next to 330, then set the switch to 330, which would be the switch closest to the jumper pins.

OP - box it up and send to someone to finish the job before you kill it for good.

This is a prime example of not reading before carrying anything out. If you still have nanddump1.bin from your logs, write that back. Where are you based?

Im in Alabama, USA.

I will try what WNYConsoles suggested.
(I have 7 more in my closet (some of which need to have the CPU and GPU resoldered (is what I have been told))) But i ordered a reflowing station. or whateveh they are called.

I assume you are trying to say that it means that everyone has to start somewhere.
I would appreciate if instead of trying to criticize me, you would provide information on how to fix my problem.

Edit:
I was refering to what Spaz2203

@Martin C
I admit that I didn't read to much but I did do research on what consoles were jtaggable and after doing that I read text tutorials and video tutorials none of which had answers to the problems I ran into. Also none of them told me to keep the original nanddump.bin they just said if you mess up just delete the first nanddump.bin and do it again.

I took your advice of seeking out someone that could finish this for me without screwing anything else up to terribly.

I also have very very little hardware experience which is why I thought trying to jtag an xbox for my first real hardware experience would be a good idea... guess not.

Yes they do, however 'somewhere' is subjective to your existing technical abilities. Or in your case, the ability to use a computer.

I already did - don't tell me you didn't read that either?

Ok I rewired everything. Resoldered but I got the same exact message from J-Runner.

Someone said I should bridge the middle pin and the 330 pin. I am wondering what exactly is it I am bridging the Red, Yellow or the Green. I have seen jtag layouts without the QSB wired with the yellow and green bridged.

ALSO!!:
If the Nand is correctly set up shouldnt I be able to boot the xell and get the CPU key without having the jtag installed yet?

I really cant afford to send it to someone yet. How will I learn from my mistakes if I never knew what caused them.

Can you afford to ship it? Ill look at it for free assuming you'll pay shipping to and from me.. (I'm in reading PA... you can USPS Flat rate in a maedium box for about $10 each way... if you cant afford that, you shouldnt be spending money on a reflowing station. or whateveh they are called...

(FYI... you are looking for a BGA (or BGA station)... and the other word is whatever... NOT whatevwh (Not even sure how it's easier to say/type whateveh over whatever..)

Doesn't jrunner automaticly save a nanddump for you in the kv files? There is a chance it is still in the work from folder. Before you do anymore more work to the system I would look everywhere on your pc for that original nanddump then you can start over with at least a good nand and that should take care of the header error. It is repeated that you should always save in a safe location your nanddumps. Find this first.
