JTAG E79 after flash

hey, i just want to make sure that when i reflash freeboot, the E79 will go away correct? i had 12625 i got E79 just after i flashed freeboot 12611. (i wanted to downgrade) i also have a falcon.

i think you misread, i was currently on 12625 and downgraded to 12611. i didnt do anything wrong, i used easy freeboot and used my orig nand and pasted my working cpu key in. i dont see what i dont wrong.
 
The image you made probably had the wrong SMC file. That is why you got E79 after the flash.

Because easyfreeboot (and other tools) don't use your supplied SMC - that would pretty stupid since it needs to be a hacked SMC. If you supplied an original NAND dump it would be of no use whatsoever.

What JTAG wiring did you go for and what options did you select in Easy Freeboot?

well i opened it, and clicked create image and selected my orig nand then put in my cpu key and it created my freeboot. and in flash360 i pressed A then B and it flashed.

How about you post pics of your wireing. That will tell use what smc points you have. What these guys are getting at is if your Jtag is wired Aud clamp or Aud clamp with tray and you wrote a freeboot that is set to default then that would be your problem.
