ok - standard raw mode read/write is -r / -w. So to write your NAND back, use -w

The ecc file you create needs to be written with +w as the ECC needs to be recalculated.

yeah the ecc write worked fine. booted into xell reloaded 10 times within 4-5 seconds. its when i tried to write the original back is when the problems came. im gonna erase and then write the original again and see if i can get it to power on. if not is there a common short that happens when doing this or could it be random.

If XeLL is booting with RGH then I would check your solder points in case you've bridged something else you shouldn't have.

Just to clarify, you should only need to do this:

nandpro USB: -w64 nand.bin 0 50

replace USB with LPT if you are using a parallel cable.

ok, now to the good stuff. i have just checked the board over for an bridged points and there arent any. after my successful erase and then re write im back to e79. grrr. not sure where to go from here, im happy to have it booting up again but really wanna get this up and running. how do i get rid of e79. when i open the dumps in a hex editor a lot of the lines are zeros. do you think could have something to do with it?

stupidly i didnt verify until after i got the errors. it wont open in degraded at all. i checked both dumps in total commander and they match perfectly. cant even open in 360 flash tool with correct cpu key. do you think they were corrupt from the start then?

when i open them dumps in a hex editor all the beginning lines are blank (0's). way past 03FF

So does it open ok with 360 Flash tool?

ok, im just being dumb then im sure. i have edited the 2007 to 2005 and it has opened in degraded. so it opens fine with cpu key in 360 flash tool and opens in degraded fine. just get e79 when i flash to the nand. i have tried a donor first 50 blocks and it wont boot at all. it turns on ok though. im really getting frustrated with this. i dont know what to try next.
