GENERAL e79 after removal of RGH with stock nand

GODDAMMIT. i used jtag tool to repair my nand. used a clean falcon nand. loaded my nand in and then selected the output file. flashed that to my xbox and nada. wont even boot. no error codes, nothing. so im now erasing that and rewriting the original. does anyone have any idea as to what i could be doing wrong. when i wrote the reset glitch ecc is that permanent? can it be overwritten with my original ecc. someone said set my smc back to original? what is that?

I was kind of in your same boat.

i dumped my nand a number of times to test my connections and all of them matched up, then i flashed the ecc with the +w16 command (i dont have my coolrunner yet i was just testing) and obviously it did not boot. so i flashed my original nand image again with +w16 and i got the dreaded e79 error. i was kind of scared then. so i dumped the nand again and it didn't match up so then i automatically thought it was my soldering. well i tried -w16 command with my original nand dump again and it turned out to boot.

im not sure if your situtiation is the same as my but here are the steps i took.

1.flash original with +w16 command (will get e79)
2.flash original with -w16 command, should fix it.

im not sure if the +w16 command step is needed but im not sure it can hurt.

best of luck.

I can confirm that for me, +w instead of -w when writing stock nand back did infact cause E79, too.
