Ok First time Jtaging and first time using tools so decided to go with Jtag tool.

Falcon board Exploitable (well if I ever get the CPU Key)

Nand X QSBs installed and loads of good Nand dumps (All matching perfect).

This is how I got to this stage.

Installed NandX Nand part only then read nands several times and matched them, perfection.

Next installed Jtag. manage to pull diode off of DB1F1 after getting it to sit first time. Then tried to solder it again but unsuccessful second time round. ended up one big mess and now can not see anything that looks remotely metallic to solder too.

Gave up on DB1F1 in installed both diodes under the board. This went well I think, seems to check out with meter but not sure of any tolerances so still could be wrong.

Ran Jtag tool read nand and then write xell, unpluged nandX, fired up xbox and got E79 error with one red led bottom left. tried all resistor and jumper setting same error but random rrods

Could it be that I have screwed up my board at DB1F!? (I cleaned it up and nothing is bridging but as I said no metallic in middle)

Could it be that the yellow diode wire is too long. (Was cut from nandx original qsb wires so is infact shorter than what nandx wires where originally)

I can recover the nand to original and all works fine but cant get it to write xell and show me the CPU Key.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. ;)

one more thing.... in alt diode tut it had a note giving instructions on a third bridge wire. I didnt install this as I believed it to be an instuction for xeon board. Is this correct?

Who said you need xell to see your CB? Load your dumped NAND into 360 flash tool and you'll see the CB, kernel, etc.

If you're using the QSB for the JTAG part then there is no bridging, if using direct wires and diodes then you need to make the bridge @ the JTAG point.

Follow the wiring instructions in the alternate JTAG points using audio_clamp & open_tray. Then download the files from my signature and flash xell.

When you done this we can move onto freeboot next.

I have now edited the firs post to CPU key so it reads correctly.

Follow the wiring instructions on this tutorial and like I said before flash xell (falcon.bin from xbins folder) from my signature. Once flashed, boot with eject disc, if your wiring and soldering is right you should get xell's blue screen and your fuse set which combined makes your CPU key.

The wiring is done (both Diodes on bottom of board) all seem fine with meter. I tried jtag tool to write xell and booted for CPU but no blue screen just the E79 error.
What tool do you advise for flashing, I read jtag tool could be buggy.

First, did you download the files from my signature? If confirmed, then all you need to do is use jtag tool but select write bin and then browse to where you extracted the files and select the Falcon.bin (16mb) file.

Also are there any bad blocks in your original dump?

Yes, Falcons don't tend to eject the trays like Zephyrs ..

Now try this for freeboot, using jtag tool v2.20 replace all the files in 'C:\Program Files\Jtag Tool 3\bin\SMC' with the ones from my signature again (12kb) files. Make sure Jtag tool is not running when you do this. Once done try compiling freeboot and flash that to your console, if that doesn't work then well have to do it the hard way but well get to that later.

** Note, do not tick either audio_clamp or no drive options ..

I sent you a PM of my screen. I had to move jumper across to get this to show. On all other settings it was just black screen.

You are welcome to post that pic if you want, I just didnt know if the info on it was a bit risky to advertise on the forum.

Didn't get any PM's .. Verify your CPU key buy adding it to the keys database in 360 flash tool and then see if you load your original NAND dump will it decrypt your key vault or not.

I'm off for a bit now ....

Upload your original NAND dump to a host such as mediafire.com and send me a PM with the download link and your CPU key. I will create a FB image for you to flash to your console.
