Hi all,

I have had another Xenon to jtag, but its being a pain in the arse!!

I installed the nand qsb's, read the nand fine and compared read, no mismatches, however some bad blocks 245-249.

i then flashed xellous to the first 50 blocks, installed the jtag part, booted xell, retrieved the cpu key and continued to build 13599 freeboot and flash this to the nand.

Booted the xbox and the dashboard appeared briefly before E79.

I checked using 360 flash tool and the bad block are remapped to the end of the nand on my original matching reads.

From what i can make out, most E79 problem occur after xell and before cpu key is retrieved.

The console was on a very early dash, i have updated to 7371, it is exploitable, and my soldering skill are good.

I have removed the jtag qsb's and tried direct wire using the diodes supplied with non-xenon jtag kit and still booting dash briefly before E79.

It will boot up ok if i flash to stock and work fine.

I'm kind of lost now, i have loads of jtags under my belt and never have had a single problem.

Make your freeboot image and remap those blocks. Your problem will be solved.

I rebuilt the nand flash in jtag tool, assigned the bad blocks 0245 to 3ff, 246 to 3fe etc, reflashed and boom, booted up and working.
This has driven me crazy.

Thanks for the advice.
