FIXED easiest way to flash a benq drive

guys not flashed a drive for a long time.

last time i done it I connected my xbox dvd drive with a sata cable to via sata card in my desktop and powered my xbox dvd drive with the xbox itself then used jungleflasher. Is this method still ok to use?

or if anyone knows an easier way to flash my benq then id love to hear it :)

id prefer not to have to pay for any new tools

That device was for pre78 hitachis only, even support for 78/79 didn't happen,
it certainly will not work with any mtk based drives so it's a no go for benq.

The easiest way is to send the drive to be flashed by someone else. You only need to post the drive and pay for the service.

The next easiest way is to get an x360USBPro v2 (or x360USBPro and CK3i/Pro/mini) and Jungleflasher.

I've got the xbox powering the dvd drive and i can see the xbox's dvd drive in jungleflasher, ive got a Benq VAD6038 62430C so going to follow this tut:

ive got auto xbins, so i take it im going into xbox 360>firmware>hacked firmware>Benq VAD6038>BenQ iXtreme LT Plus v1.9.rar? is this the correct and latest fw for my drive

just making sure as I havent done this in a long time

worked a treat with the dvd drive powered by the xbox, thanks for the help guys appreciated :)
