ok heres my problem, i brought a slim off fleabay, it was a botched rgh attempt, the stdby chlk resistor and pad where gone, so ive sorted that out it now powers on but does not boot just sits there blinking the green power light, theres no nand dumps with the console, ive dumped the nand ok, do you think it could have the ecc image flashed thats why it wont boot? is their any way to tell?

This is a problem with second hand gear work backwards, get donor nand clean one make new nand ,flash , unistall coolrunner check boot . If all ok start over . It could be a bad install from previous owner . I got hold of one like this and stripped it back and started over then got it working like you redid soldering all worked out ok in the end

just read what i typed what a plank you dont have cpu key gonna slap myself . Check all wiring make sure dumps ok build ecc from multibuild write that to nand and see how it goes

i dont have the nand or cpu key it wasnt listed as a failed rgh attempt, but now it powers on and i can read the nand their is no bad blocks, i think he flashed the ecc image to the nand then f**ked up installing the coolrunner, the post out is also gone, just gonna install a coolrunner see if it boots into xell.

Check the nand with flashtool v0.97.
Or just install a Coolrunner maybe it will boot up in Xell. (Hahaha I just reading it that you are going to do that).

I would agree with this. Rework the whole thing just to make sure. If he used jtag tool he probably botched before he ever got the ecc written.
Also check to see if he broke anything else off the board best way is to google image of board and work from top to bottom
yes i tried booting into xell it didnt work but ive got it sorted now so you can close this thread thanks again
