I just got in a lot of trouble (with my parents). They took away my modded xbox for the next year (and they are serious), so I am looking to get rid of it before it becomes obsolete. Can I sell it on eBay without getting in trouble, and what should I write in the description? I am thinking something like this:
Customized XBOX
Includes a perfect condition case, cleared jewel, all parts included.
Extras are:
Brand new WD 200gig Caviar HDD
80 mm Fan to replace the stock fan
60 mm Side fan (invisible from outside)
Xecuter 3 chip
And many LEGAL apps pre-installed on the HDD (Gentoox Linux)
Also includes a USB keyboard, adapter, stock HDD, everything. All is in working order, everything is preinstalled and perfect. IF you have questions, just send me an email.

I am thinking the reserve would be $300-350. Does that sound right? And opinions or suggestions are highly welcomed.

yer exactly dont say about the bios being illegal. most people who look for modded xboxs know so just dont state it has been bios flashed etc and you will be fine.

O and y did u get the xbox taken off u lol seems a bit mean. But then again my mum used to remove my internet by tuning off an adsl box until I moved out lol good old days.

Yeah, I will tell yall how much I got. I am putting a reserve of 350 on it, because this is what I paid for it:
xbox: $130
HDD: $150
X3: $50
I figure with work and stuff put in, I should get at least 350. Do you think this will sell? And is that a good price? Or could I gouge them some more? Like a Buy it Now button for $499.99? Any suggestions or things to add to the information, like pictures or stuff to make it seem more appealing? I need all the cash I can get.

And I got it taken away cuz I came home drunk on New Years Day, and they have been deciding since then (I am only 16). They are still mad at me. So I figure I need some cash, now that they say no more allowance, games, etc.

And can I say modded in the title? Like Premodded Xbox for sale? Or should I say "customized"? I just do not want to get in trouble and attract lots of attention.

LoL, this guy is not bright. That is absolutely illegal, at least in the US. If he gets caught, then he's lookin' at a huge fine. When the wrong person sees that...

K. That is what I thought. Here is what I believe I am going to post in the auction:

That is where I get stuck. Can anyone think of any other apps I can list that are completely legal? I cannot mention the BIOS or my dashes, can I? Is Ava legal? What else should I add on/change to make it as appealing as possible? I am already taking a loss if I sell it for $350. Again, suggestions/addons are highly welcomed, and desperately needed. Can anyone think of a better way to phrase what I said? Even to me, it seems confusing.

OK Im a regular ebayer over 250 transactions with 100% positive feedback,Just list it as a modded Xbox dont put any description,other than Contact Seller for more info. They will email you and you can explain what you have. Just do not reply to their emails until you check their feedback and information. Stay away from new accounts that just opened could be anyone, otherwise your in more trouble than you are now.

dont worry that much, if ebay think it is illegal then the will remove it from auction and just give you a warning the first time. if you get another item taken of ebay then they will ban you.

pewtervette is right, that is how i sell my modded xboxes on uk ebay. you just put a link to email you or to another website which explains what the xbox does/has.

my friend sold one perfectly well by making a geocities site which had the details of the xbox on (all of them!!) and then put a link to this webpage in his ebay description lol.

i dunno how big a deal it is over in the USA but over in the uk no-one really minds what you put on ebay (apart from ebay of course!)

Dont mention many internal mods but make it something with the selected bidders list so they know all the details before bidding ebay doesnt like chips at all

Dunno about selling it here. I kinda want to get a bunch of cash, or at least my moneys worth. And I would feel bad taking somebody's money from here. Also, if you are here, then you probably already have stuff.

This would be LEGAL as long as you do not include the bios but you can tell the person how to get it and no illegal apps can be installed and something you could say in your header is "Legal PreModded Xbox" this will get a lot of ppls attention. Hope this helps.

Wouldn't be very fun to get screwed and lose your Xbox and money....

BTW, is there no chance that your parents will let you use it...?
