Never refer to the Xbox as modded - those auctions tend to get pulled pretty quick.

Refer to the box as customised. Take photos of the Xbox, including front panel with X3 clearly illuminated. Reuest buyer to contact you for details.

$350 sounds a bit rich ... I think if you get $300 your be lucky. Best of luck anyway.

Everyone who checks those xbox listings knows what to look for.
Listing as customized with a new bigger hard drive should be enough for anyone to know it has been chipped.
You may want to state the xbox works in original condition or xbox live safe.

may i suggest that if you sell it on a sat and a 1 day auction.

thats how i sell mine and ebay never boots them and i do get a good price for them.

if you are really worried about it not making money just put the reserve on?

Huge fine? Who is going to impose the fine? I've listed xboxes on ebay before, and both times the auction was cancelled, but that was the end of it. I was very vague about the description, but they still cancelled it. They just don't want microsoft breathing down their necks, so they'll cancel it if it smells fishy.

All the original games being shipped with that unit are going to take up more space in the box than the Xbox itself

That's pretty much all there is. Follow the rules and you can't go wrong.
Most of the listings I just saw only listed a larger hard drive. Most peolpe know what that means.

Ebay checks like on monday wednesdays and fridays or something like that, so i would simply do a 1 day auction on sat. Senn many sold this way. However i sold one this way, and it sold, i was very happy, but then i got an email a week later saying i had violated their policies and one more would end up with my account suspended. So **** selling on ebay lol, now i make REAL money. ~~~~Read my sig~~~~

umm wtf are u talking about it being absolutely illegal it's only illegal if he sells it with games / roms / movies or sumtin like that loaded on the hdd and if it's running an illegal bios.

ya ebay seems to be really picky on what kinda xbox they accept now. they probably had alot of problemes with microsoft.

They stick their nose in too much crap. That's why I'm gonna reformat this computer with Mandrake 10.0 or RedHat 9.0 Linux. I'll just use Wine if I need to run Half-Life or something.
