Editing the mainmenu.map in Halo 2

I have downloaded and purchased the 4 new maps off of XBL. I want to also put them on my other modded box. Because the new maps aren't in the maps directory and are in the tdata folder, how does editing the mainmenu.map file work in this case? Will this also show a pic of each map as well?

I have already transfered everything from the tdata folder to my other box. The maps are there but I don't know exactly how to get them to show up in the main menu.

I have dothalo but I don't know too much about how all this works yet.

OK, this does not work. Can you be more descriptive, because this mini tutorial doesn't make sense to me. Should I move the new maps to the map folder or something instead of them being in the TDATA folder? I tried to add containment to the mainmenu.map file and yes it added it to the menu, but it doesn't launch that map, nor does it give a pic of the map on the menu. Am I supposed to open the containment map in dothalo and put in 0x1bc under offset? Cause that doesn't work like you said either. There is no scenario/multi/containment/contaiment in there.

OMG,Heres a PPFfile that adds new maps for the hdd(the ones without the pics) and the ones in the TDATA(the ones with the pics) to the mainmenu.map, plus the landfill map.

It is obvious that I stated I haven't done this before, right? So how am I going to know what to do with this file?

I just applied the ppf patch you attached to the mainmenu.map file out of the maps folder using dothalo. It lists the maps without the pics and fails to load the maps. Any suggestions?

I forgot to include im running Halo 2 from the hardrive. I don't know if that helps or not.

Nope, not that I know of. I just no that the ones with the pics are on the Tdata and the ones without are on the Hdd verison, and your welcome.

Hey I got the Bungie maps as well as 40+ modified maps from xllnk.com (United Mappack 1.4). I installed them and it would tell me my "downloaded content is damaged" for some reason, and I couldn't play the Bungie maps but I could play the modified ones fine. I think they're conflicting each other somehow, any ideas?
