I was having trouble with my chip and was fiddling around with my box not knowing the touble I was getting into. I had not backed up my EEPROM and I decided to do a "What's this button do?" in Config Live. I clicked Restore EEPROM from X3. so now it won't show video when it boots. To fix this I decide to flash the EEPROM with a Blank one. big mistake. I no longer have an X3 bios installed. I only have the cromwell modified version I used to flash the blank EEPROM. I can not boot to config magic unless I can do it from a bootlinux.cfg file which I can get the cromwell bios to load with a little tweaking. I can't flash via HTTP since the MAC Address is 00:00:00:00:00:00 and for some reason everytime I try to flash with a disk, it says CD-Rom label: X3_BIOS then stops with no error. Is there anyway to flash via USB maybe? Any suggestions Other than hotswap?

Hi!

Nice week end for me too: bad inspiration made a mess out of my xbox:
Thru ftp i saw on the d drive that I had a lot of file that were the same than what was on the c drive. I decided to erase it all (!) and of course, when i restarted the xbox, all my dashboards and ms dashboard were gone (the xbox doesn't boot even in normal mode).
I decided in the x3 mod ship bios (last version) to restore the eeprom (I don;t know why) - and now nothing works anymore.

Very happy about that - I have the same probs as discribed by tehphire and to make thing worst, I work from a mac.

I am going to try to see if installing the version 1959 of x3 on another bank is going to help my problem.

Otherwise, I really don't see how i am going to get my eeprom to work again.

Maybe will see if a friend can make a blank hard drive (i wanted to upgrade anyway).....

No Halo2 tonight for me :)
