Here is the problem: (holler if it's in the wrong thread)

Have a 1.5 xbox. Installed X3 chip and booted up cromwell. Halfway through flashing Cromwell via HTTP, it turned off (don't know why) When I turned it back on all I got was a blank screen and the 3 boot frag of death. If I disable the mod-chip all I get is a flashing red LED. Now upon further research I found that the flashing red LED denotes a corrupt EEPROM. Thus I removed the X3 from that particular box and installed it in another and flashed it with a cromwell patched with an eeprom. Still nothing but the 3 frags. I know the mod-chip is good because I can use it in another xbox. I have checked and double checked connections. ( I have done many xbox's and I am confident in my solders, not to say that I couldn't messed up, but looks good to me ) I even tried installing a 2.3 pro and flashing it with the Cromwell loaded with the EEPROM and I've also tried 4981 loaded with an EEPROM. Nothing seems to work. Just the 3 frags. Any suggestions?

If your xbox doesnt work WITHOUT the chip then you just screwed up your xbox. You first need to fix that problem before trying to fix your xbox with the chip. Maybe you have solder splashes?
