This appears to be a home made glitch chip and dual nand device. To be a real downgrader, it would have to be able to boot a stock dash from before the cb your xbox currently uses.

I agree. Judging by the dates of the documents it looks like early glitch hack attempts, more like R-jtag. Read this sticky by Martin C

http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77634

It shows that the cpu cannot be downgraded due to the physical change in its structure. Thanks to R-jtag and RGH, Tx have given us the next best thing, giving full access to the xbox goodies with timings akin to original smc hack.

yes i know all about the efuses
efuses are controlled by the southbridge so then we could use the lamprey to unburn them

I know all about this

Maybe if we could come up with a device that pretends to be the fuses and somehow get a timing attack to load up BK without patches and then bypass CB

There is no CPU_RESET or variant it is a down grader
maybe you should check your wiring again, as cpu_rst is used on the console in the pictures. also should be noted that the picture in the op has a homebrew glitch chip, or 1 of the first available models. Also according to martins LDV sticky, it would be hard to replace fuses built in to the consoles cpu, hince why you need the glitch attack in the first place.

whats the point in regurgitating superceeded information that you clearly dont understand??

this stuff is almost 4 years old and no longer viable.

and you also realise that this is a TX product support forum??

Thread closed.

The discussions of unburning e-fuses on the IBM CPU were spoken of years ago and it was concluded at that time it they were not the kind which could be reversed.
