Modied my 1.6XBOX last night with friends help. Everything went fine until we tried to power up the box. When I quick tap or hold on to the power button, the switch panel will always come up RED. However, I pressed the DVD eject button (short or long), XBOX booted up, DVD tray opened AND the switch panel is BLUE. Strange, er?

After I boot up into X3 BIOX via press eject button, everything works fine. Has anyone expereinced this before?

there have been many problems with the power/eject board, and there are dozens of people, with power/eject problems, and there are dozens of posts in the forum telling you how to troubleshoot it, just read

Thanks hugo and badaktor. I will look around and see what I can find. hugo, sorry to confuse you, yes it was a pin head install and soldering was in good quality. LPC rebuild was good as well (or at least from what I can tell). Once I boot up via X3 bios, everything functions fine. Just can't use the power button to boot into X3, have to use eject button..

Best burning software to use for 360 backups?

Im wondering if there is a particularly good piece of software to use when burning backup games.

I think the only software i've got on my comp at the moment is PowerISO.

Is there any particular free burning software anyone would recommend?

thanks

IMGBurn is probably THE best burning program available & it's free. Just remember to set your burn speed to 2.4x or less & make sure your book type is set to dvd-rom.

Re: Best burning software to use for 360 backups?

One last quick question.

most games i see seem to be dual layer dvd games. but if a game is small enough, will using a normal dvd work just fine?

No all games that are played in the 360 must be burnt to a dual layer disc.

you can get 2.4x or 8x media
Yes i know but its better too burn at a lower speed (2.4x) so you don't get errors all the time or buffer underun errors but its people choice if they burn at 8x. :)

I thought all DVD burners had buffer under run protection, anyway I always burn a the max rated speed without a problem.
