delete this thread mate , i am desoldering it now and sending it to bl4k3y to test it for me , save keep messing around wasting your time and everyone else ,i know it worked beforeAny chance you're able to take better/clearer images so they're not the size of postage stamps?
I have his R-JTAG PCB here with me, Martin and none of the IC pins were bridged.in your pic it looks like you've bridged pins on the IC.
Have you tried soldering with something other than a flamethrower?I have the same problem. I barley touch it with the soldering iron and it just popped off
Nice. As noob as I am, the only time I had a pad lift was when I was measuring to trim the STBY_CLK and pulled the trace. Not iron related.Have you tried soldering with something other than a flamethrower?
Otherwise I call BS. I've installed hundreds of chips and have never lost a single pad.
Nope. Flamethrower's are best!~ The chip is scorched and covered in ash but it sure as hell worked! lolHave you tried soldering with something other than a flamethrower?

We have soldering videos on this site - check the stickys.Nope. Flamethrower's are best!~ The chip is scorched and covered in ash but it sure as hell worked! lol
On a serious note, I had it set to 20 watts but since the soldering job was sloppy, I tried to fix it. I think I set the temp to high without realizing and it popped off with the wire. But the good new's is that it still boots and works perfectly fine.
If you have any tutorials on how to solder correctly i'll take them. I'm noobish with soldering iron's and I need to figure out which damn tips i need.
