For a start, i have searched and searched and i still dont know fully what an emulator is. i know its like a program or something that lets you play snes or other console games on your xbox. i was also wondering how to put the games onto your xbox once you have the emulator. i think this is the right board for this. and if i am wrong on any of the above stuff please correct me because i am a bit of a n00b.

you are right - an emulator is a piece of software that emulates other consoles on your PC or Xbox.

Games you have to find. they are commonly called ROM files - search around on the net, you will find them - they are just not exactly legal, so don't ask about where to get them etc here on this board. there is a whole emulator community for that.

but once you have your emulator software and some ROM games, you just throw the rom games either on a CD-R/W / DVD-R/W or put them right on your hard drive (usually in a directory within the appropriate emulator directory) and you can play them just like that. not hard. every emulator is different, so you will have to play around with them.

A Typical SNES game is... a few MB's.... 1-2 MAX. N64 is around 6-12... some are up to 24. PSX roms are full size of a CD ;) Sega... same as SNES. Nintendo... like 500 KB... GBA can be like up to 16 MB.... GB is like 500 KB to... ect :) If you need help with them... Installing "Ect" ;) Hit me up on MSN or E-mail... lucidify[at]Gmail.com and I can help out. Got nothing better to do... -_-

Hmm... when I first got the rom set... I didnt realize the black and white buttons could be A and B... I didnt ever play them because of that.... I guess it's time I boot up another game and try :) However... when I put in goldeneye before... the sensitivy was REALLY high.... I taped my button and the crosshair flew across the screen, it was weird.... going to go play bomberman :)

One question about emulators...

In my NES emulator, I read this:

| - Net Play

I havent tested it, but I doubt it'd lie ;) going to transfer all my SNES/NES roms over, then try it. I was wondering - Is the SNES Emulator for xbox playable online? and how do the online plays work... is it like System link, or does your xbox need a IP of its own?

like any normal xbox application.
ftp the files to your hdd and edit the settingsfile (xml/ini/...) with notepad to point the program to the right roms directory.

If you look hard enough **CougH mirc Cough **, you can get games bundled together.
I got every snes game ever made in one shot. over 750 of them.
